Social Media

Social Media is already a part of a person's life, it can also be a tool against another individual. There must be a line to separate what is public and what is personal in the activation of these sites. Some persons do not draw the line and consider a social media site the basis for a person's character. Majority of searches on the internet involved are on a candidate's profile which is immediately after an employer receive the application. Therefore, the employers gauge of a candidate's personality is through facebook and twitter. Some employees may react on different issues that concerned the firm. An employer may react in a different manner as to what was said by the employee. The employer and employee may clash on somewhat a matter of a protection in the image of the firm while on the other side the social media site of the employee is private and must not be the basis for the termination of the employee. Some employees rely on social media to connect to another person. Judgement of a person's character and personality should not be based on the internet and social media sites.

However Social Media has benefits. Social media can be a way to connect to another person. An employer can connect to an employee this way.

But in the case of a government employee as whether a law, morality and religion as the basis for the improvement of the government. I stand by morality and religion. The moral value of a government employee is different from another government employee. Law is the core of a government office. The law bind the system in government. However some of the government employees twist the law. This is why morality and religion must be in a government employee. Ignorant to morals and religion would be a robot and parrot in a government office.

  1. Persons in government will of course be holding positions that are both critical and confidential as they carry the government’s interests and image, and to a certain extent the general public as well. Don’t you think that they should be thoroughly and comprehensively evaluated since public service and national security is involved?
